Most students don't touch real technology until they're 20. We think that's too late. ScrideEd exists to give students aged 13 to 18 the hands-on experience, confidence, and clarity to choose their future with their eyes open.
When Asif Ali Ahmed R was a teenager in Bangalore, he loved science. He aced his boards, got into a good engineering college, and showed up on Day 1 ready to build things.
What he found was more theory.
It wasn't until his second year that he held a microcontroller for the first time. He built his first real project. And he thought - "if I'd had this at 15, everything would have been different."
Years later, as a CTO building real tech products and as an IEEE-recognised engineer, that thought never left him. So in 2024, he founded ScrideEd - not to be another coaching class, but to be the place where Bangalore teens finally get to build things that work.
Because choosing a career at 17 without ever having touched the tools of that career is like choosing a restaurant from a menu you've never seen. We want your teen to taste it first.
Asif loves science. Boards done. Engineering college - Day 1. Still no hardware in sight.
First microcontroller. First real build. The thought: "Why did this take so long?"
Padma Shri Dr. S.K. Shivakumar Innovation Award for real-time lake water monitoring system.
One of 20 young professionals globally recognised by the IEEE Computer Society.
Because every teen deserves that "first build" moment before they choose a career - not after.
Every program ScrideEd runs is designed with one purpose: to shift a student from passive consumer to active builder. One workshop at a time.
We're building toward a future where the 13 to 18 age gap in India's tech education pipeline is permanently closed - starting in our city, expanding from there.
We believe students deserve the chance to try tech before committing to it. Our workshop model removes the pressure of commitment and replaces it with genuine discovery.
Theory follows building - not the other way around. Students touch hardware from the first hour.
Not every teen will become an engineer. Our workshops help students find out - without a long-term commitment.
Every skill we teach has a direct application - in competitions, college projects, and careers.
Frazer Town-based, city-wide reach. We believe no student should miss out because of location or cost.
Asif is a computer science engineer, former CTO, and globally recognised innovator from Bangalore. He holds a B.E. in Computer Science from BMSIT (VTU) with a 9.05 CGPA, and spent over 3.5 years building real-world backend systems and cloud infrastructure before founding ScrideEd.
He was recognised as one of only 20 young professionals worldwide by the IEEE Computer Society in their prestigious "20 Under 20s" program - a global honour across all of engineering and computer science. He also won the Padma Shri Dr. S.K. Shivakumar State Innovation Award from the Government of Karnataka for his undergraduate final year project: a real-time autonomous lake water quality monitoring system.
He built an autonomous wildfire-detection drone that was financially supported and presented at the IEEE Bangalore Humanitarian Technology Conference. He's been a software engineer at MoneyView, a CTO, and now - the person who shows up every weekend to make sure Bangalore teens get the experience he wished he had at 15.
We're a small, passionate team in Bangalore. Small enough to care about every student. Experienced enough to teach what matters.
IEEE Global Honoree. Former CTO. Teaches robotics, Arduino, and IoT. Runs all workshops personally.
